These are a few of the
projects I have worked on

FRANCIS AVENUE, SOUTHSEA

Helping homeowners create more space

THE BRIEF:

To extend to the rear of the property on the ground floor and into the side alleyway at the back of the Victorian terrace.

The single storey extension will replace an existing conservatory and side lean-to area.

Internal remodelling was to take place to allow for the redistribution of functional areas on the ground floor. The new spaces to be created were an internal storage room, ground floor shower room, home office space, kitchen and living room overlooking the garden.

HIGHVIEW HOUSE

Solving problems with limited space

THE BRIEF:

The client was looking to build a garage on the side of your existing property.

The garage was to be a double width, 6m in depth with a dual pitched roof and be ‘in-keeping’ with the character of the property.

In addition, the client wanted to extend the existing snug room at the rear of the property with a single storey extension and combine this with an increase in footprint to the existing utility room.

The rear extension was to be single storey and combined with the garage for build efficiency.

A new enclosed porch was proposed where an existing open porch was located.

OAKLANDS PADDOCK

Finding solutions for properties that are listed or in conservation areas

THE BRIEF:

Extend rear of the property, full width to a depth of 2-3m which falls under Permitted Development

Internal alterations to combine the existing study and dining room to create the new kitchen width.

To extend both the utility room and current living room into this full width extension

The utility room needed to be separate and accessible to the outdoors as it is useful for the dog.

Reposition the study into the kitchen space with the potential to be used by both clients when working from home.

Discussed the possibility of the ‘snug’ space to the front of the living room but would like to keep the fireplace and install a log burner so this needed spatial thought.

PARKLANDS ROAD, CHICHESTER

Changing interior layouts to maximise existing space

THE BRIEF:

The existing sunroom extension was to be removed and replaced with a proper room with cavity walls and vaulted roof, taken to approximately 4m from the rear wall.

The existing kitchen was to be replaced within the same space.

The existing flat ceiling was to be carried through to the line of the existing original outside wall and then an open vaulted gable ended extension was to create a dining / living space overlooking the garden.

The newly created room should be designed to open out onto a garden courtyard which will be a continuation of the space internally during the summer when French doors can be opened and fixed back against the wall.
